Dear Friends.
Yesterday, at the school Artiloft, as part of the Marmite Culturelle program, we organized an art workshop on the architecture of castles in Eastern and Western Europe. We found out their differences and similarities.
We built a model of the Golden Gate of Kiev, an example of a fortress protecting an entire christian city, as well as a typical Swiss castle in the Chateau de Savoie style (a square castle with round defense towers at the corners). In addition, a group of children modeled and painted nature and living things around the castles. This is what the two castles have in common: rivers and forests with mushrooms and animals.
Everyone did a fantastic job! It’s great!
